The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signs two cooperation agreements with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia

Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, and the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Yusuf Muhammad Adam, signed today, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in Riyadh, two cooperation agreements in the labor field for Somali professional and domestic workers.
The signing ceremony took place during the meeting of His Excellency Al-Rajhi with His Excellency Mr. Adam, and in the presence of a number of officials and specialists from both sides, where the meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries to achieve common goals.
The purpose of this cooperation agreement is to establish a regulatory framework for all procedures necessary for Somali labor in the Kingdom, protecting the rights of both the worker and the employer, regulating the contractual relationship between them, and establishing mechanisms for joint monitoring and implementation of the provisions of this agreement.
This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's endeavors to establish and strengthen international partnerships and relations with its counterparts in various countries, open new labor markets to ensure a balanced labor market, and explore avenues of cooperation across all spectrums, with the aim of achieving mutual objectives and interests.
