Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor meets with the Deputy Director-General of the International Labour Organization

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, met with Ms. Celeste Drake, Deputy Director-General of the International Labour Organization, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting was attended by several ministry officials and specialists.
 
At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency Abuthnain extended a warm welcome to Her Excellency Ms. Celeste Drake and her accompanying delegation. The meeting provided an opportunity to showcase the Kingdom's endeavors and initiatives in fostering a globally attractive and competitive employment environment, as well as the reforms undertaken in the Saudi labor market in line with the aspirations of Vision 2030. Both parties discussed the most prominent topics of current and future cooperation between the Ministry and the International Labour Organization, and explored ways to enhance this cooperation to achieve the common objectives of both parties.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency Abuthnain expressed his gratitude to Ms. Drake and commended the existing partnership between the Ministry and the International Labour Organization; he also lauded its distinctive role in the preparation and organization of the second International Labour Market Conference, scheduled to be held in January 2025.
