Labor attachés are affiliated with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They were established in several countries pursuant to the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 97 dated 7/2/1438 AH.
Duties of Labor Attachés
- Enhancing coordination with sending countries.
- Verifying the eligibility and skills of workers nominated for work in the Kingdom and ensuring their quality.
- Representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in matters related to labor affairs, after coordinating with the head of the mission.
- Providing awareness and guidance to nominated workers about the working environment and educating them about the policies and systems in place in the Kingdom.
- Ensuring the eligibility of labor exporting offices, agencies, and recruitment centers and companies in labor-exporting countries and classifying them, after coordinating through the embassy with the relevant authorities in the host country.
- Studying and analyzing the problems faced by expatriate workers in the Kingdom and proposing solutions to address them with their counterparts.
