
The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Participates in the 44th Session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs/ Development in Manama

The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, participated in the 44th Session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, held from 22 to 25 December 2024, in Manama, Bahrain, with the participation of ministers of social affairs/ development from Arab countries and relevant international organizations, attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for International Affairs, Dr. Tarek Al-Hamad, and the CEO of the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Hisham Al-Haidari.
In the opening session of the Council meeting, Minister Al-Rajhi delivered a speech expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, its government, and people for their warm reception and hospitality, affirming the Ministry's continued support for efforts to advance sustainable development in the Arab world through shared visions capable of achieving aspirations on all fronts.
During the meeting, several topics representing priorities for joint Arab social development work were discussed, particularly those related to social development, persons with disabilities, the elderly, family, and childhood, through proposed strategies, programs, and initiatives from Arab countries.
On the sidelines of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs/ Development meeting, Minister Al-Rajhi participated in the coordination meeting of the Ministers of Social Affairs/ Development of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, discussing several agenda items, including the rights of persons with disabilities, issues related to the elderly, and the Arab regional meeting to prepare for the second World Summit on Social Development.
It is worth mentioning that these meetings are part of the Ministry's efforts to support and enhance joint Arab work to keep pace with the rapid developments in the field of social development worldwide.
