Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development Concludes Social Security Beneficiary Empowerment Forum in the Makkah Region

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development concluded the second day of the Social Security Beneficiary Empowerment Forum, held in the Makkah region, in the city of Jeddah, with the participation of more than 60 entities from the government, private, and non-profit sectors.

The forum, which was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. Hamad Al-Hammad, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Social Security and Empowerment, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Ismail, Director General of the Ministry's branch in the Makkah region, witnessed the presentation of more than 2,000 job and training opportunities, and the attendance of more than 5,000 beneficiaries. 162 direct employment contracts were signed, in addition to the signing of 4 cooperation agreements with supporting entities for the qualification and empowerment of beneficiaries.

16 specialized training workshops were also provided, benefiting 960 beneficiaries, aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills for the labor market. In addition, 786 guidance and consulting sessions were provided to participants, offering professional insights on career paths and development opportunities, and 100 educational scholarships were provided to support beneficiaries in improving their academic and professional qualifications, in addition to the participation of a number of beneficiaries showcasing their craft works.

This forum comes within the framework of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's strategy to enhance the participation of social security beneficiaries in the labor market, and empower them to achieve financial independence, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in achieving sustainable development and increasing the participation of the national workforce in the economy.
