Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development Launches Upgraded Version of its Electronic Services to Support the Cooperative Sector

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has launched an upgraded version of its electronic services for the cooperative sector, as part of its ongoing efforts to support and develop this sector, empower cooperative societies to achieve growth and sustainability, and enhance their contribution to economic and social development in the Kingdom.

The new updates aim to facilitate and accelerate the procedures for establishing cooperative societies, as the processing time for establishment requests has been reduced from 14 days to only 3 days, which contributes to accelerating the establishment of cooperatives and stimulating more community initiatives, in line with the Ministry's objectives to enhance the role of the cooperative sector in economic and social development.

The cooperative sector is considered one of the promising sectors that play a vital role in sustainable development, as cooperative societies contribute to stimulating economic activity, providing investment opportunities, and enhancing social solidarity. This sector relies on the principles of collective work and joint cooperation between individuals to achieve economic and social benefits for members and society.

This initiative comes within the framework of the cooperative sector strategy launched by the Ministry in 2024, which aims to increase the contribution of cooperatives to the gross domestic product, increase the number of cooperative societies, facilitate the cooperative work environment, and stimulate investment in this sector, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the cooperative sector and support sustainable community development.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development continues its efforts to empower the cooperative sector by providing technical and technological support to cooperative societies, facilitating regulatory procedures, and strengthening partnerships with various relevant entities, which contributes to achieving economic and social integration, and enhancing the role of cooperatives in various development areas in the Kingdom.
