Through a series of initiatives supporting the media sector, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development will participate in the Saudi Media Forum 2025, held in Riyadh from February 19 to 21, 2025. This participation aligns with the ministry’s efforts to empower national talents, enhance labor market readiness, and support the development of the media sector in the Kingdom.

At its interactive pavilion, the ministry will showcase a range of initiatives and programs aimed at skill development, fostering knowledge exchange, and aligning media capabilities with market needs. This participation underscores the ministry’s commitment to supporting media professionals and specialists while highlighting its efforts in communication and media engagement.

The ministry will also showcase the "Skills Surveys" initiative during the forum, launched in collaboration with the World Bank. This initiative serves as a strategic tool for monitoring and analyzing the skills required across various sectors, including the media sector, to bridge the gap between labor market supply and demand.

The initiative provides accurate data that helps guide training and educational programs to align with the sector's actual needs. Visitors to the forum will have the opportunity to explore survey findings and key skills in the media field through a dedicated pavilion offering detailed insights into the initiative’s impact on improving the work environment and developing national talents.

As part of its efforts to support professional volunteerism, the ministry is presenting the "Volunteer With Your Experience" initiative, launched by His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi. The initiative aims to promote a culture of knowledge exchange among industry professionals and leverage the expertise of executive leaders across various fields, including media.

The initiative provides an interactive environment where beneficiaries—including entrepreneurs, productive families, and non-profit organizations—can engage in direct learning experiences through training workshops, discussion sessions, and one-on-one consultations. Since its launch, the initiative has attracted the participation of more than 300 experts and specialists, including 40 ministers and high-ranking officials, offering over 6,000 individual consultations that have benefited more than 4,000 participants from various sectors.

As part of its efforts to develop media skills and enhance professional empowerment, the ministry will introduce specialized training programs at the forum through the "Waad" National Training Campaign. This campaign aims to develop national human capital and encourage private sector investment in training. In its first phase, Waad provided over 1.3 million training opportunities, while its second phase targets 3 million new training opportunities in partnership with 58 entities.

The forum’s media training programs will cover virtual reality TV presenting, media campaign strategies, professional media production, and interactive content creation, equipping media professionals with the latest global practices and enhancing their presence in the industry.

The Ministry invites media professionals and enthusiasts to visit its pavilion at the forum, engage in "Volunteer Your Experience" sessions, explore "Skills Surveys" data, and join the training programs offered through the "Waad" initiative. These efforts aim to enrich Saudi media content, enhance workforce efficiency, and create new opportunities for media skills development in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
