
Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Meets with UN Women Executive Director

His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Family Affairs Council, Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, met with the Executive Director of UN Women, Ms. Sima Bahous, and her accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Deputy Minister for Labor, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abuthnain, the Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council, Dr. Maimouna Al-Khalil, and several officials.
During the meeting, both parties discussed areas of mutual cooperation, with a particular focus on Saudi Arabia’s preparations for chairing the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in 2025. They also reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts in advancing women's empowerment and key initiatives supporting their development, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
Both sides emphasized the importance of joint efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and highlighted the significance of collaborating with UN Women on programs and projects aimed at enhancing women's empowerment and economic participation.
This meeting is part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to strengthen international partnerships in the field of women’s empowerment, contributing to regional and global stability and sustainable development.
