The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has completed the final phase of covering all targeted and labor-exporting countries in the "Professional Verification" service within the "Professional Accreditation" program, which aims to raise the skill level of expatriate workers. The target has been achieved, covering 160 countries in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This service comes in implementation of Cabinet Resolution No. 195, which aims to ensure that expatriate workers have reliable academic qualifications and possess the practical experiences and skills required by the Saudi labor market before entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The "Professional Verification" service focuses on the efficiency of workers in highly skilled professions, in addition to verifying the compatibility of academic qualifications with the level and field of education, according to approved standards, such as the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations and the Saudi Standard Classification of Levels and Educational Specialties. The service is fully automated and provided through a unified platform for professional verification with simplified and fast procedures.
The Ministry has completed the coverage of 1,007 professions within the phases of the "Professional Verification" implementation plan, targeting all labor-exporting countries around the world. It will continue to cover all highly skilled professions within groups 1-3 according to the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations, including engineering and health professions, in coordination with relevant government agencies.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development seeks through this service to regulate the labor market, raise the quality of jobs and services in the labor market, and enhance productivity levels.
